Kingston woman wins Small Miss out on Massachusetts magnificence pageant

Eight-calendar year-old Eden Victoria Shannon, of Kingston, was topped Tiny Miss Massachusetts on March 27 at a pageant held at the Double Tree Lodge in Danvers. 

 A university student at Kingston Elementary College, Eden has been in five pageants considering that she was 7, and gained ideal dressed 2 times. Her mom intended her clothes, and it reawakened her expertise for trend style and design.

Eden’s mom, Katy Shannon, is a bus driver and her father, Victor Shannon, works for the U.S. Postal Support. Pageants had been never ever on their radar.  At age 6, Eden viewed natural beauty pageants and questioned her mother and father if she could give it a try out.

“It started out when I saw a cartoon of a Barbie pageant and I believed it would be so considerably enjoyment,” Eden explained.

Her mom was not straight away onboard.

“It’s all all-natural, ladies beneath 12 don’t use makeup, and she’s created a large amount of good friends,” Katy Shannon said. “It’s enjoyable fashion and a mixture of going for walks and poses. It is boosted her assurance.”

But it was her 46-year-outdated mother who obtained an surprising self-assurance boost.

Pageant dresses reminded Shannon of her former work in fashion and trend.

“Ever because I was 8, I preferred to be a manner designer. I analyzed for it,” she explained.

Gary “Vee” Vaynerchuk, a significant social influencer in fashion, was a pal when she attended Mount Ida Higher education in Newton.

“He modeled for a single of my collections in college,” Shannon stated.
